Susan Yates, fashion designer, returning to New York, is glad to be back with her boyfriend Lyle Curtis, the assistant district attorney, especially after as there was a suicide aboard the trans-Atlantic steamer, but soon finds herself in a maze of criminous affairs when the suicide turns out to have been murder.
